Several people have asked me this exact question today. What are the “Best Niches for Affiliate Marketing“? Then they look at me like I’m really supposed to have that answer. When you consider all the things that contribute to the performance of a niche website there is really no way to answer that, except to say that it’s up to the individual running the website!

Take the weight loss niche. Let me just say that this niche is one of the biggest on the internet and it is responsible for billions of dollars in sales annually. However, if a newbie puts up a weight loss site and knows nothing at all about the topic or the best products and services being used. That great niche is headed for disaster.

The Best Niches for Affiliate Marketing are the Ones That You Make The best

If you are trying to make money with a particular niche, you must first answer 2 simple questions:

  1. Does your niche address a problem of some kind?
  2. Do you possess an ethical solution or product that will fix that problem?

The reason I say ethical is this, you never want to short change yourself, or your business, and especially not the customers that you deal with by selling inferior products. When you get labeled for doing business that way it will follow you. So please keep it honest and I promise you will sleep better for it.

Now, just to use as an example. Say your allergic to poison oak & ivy, an you are peppered with it. You look online and you see I have a website that is selling an old home remedy that you can buy from me and it is guaranteed to work, or your money back with no questions asked. That is a small example of a niche site that does both of the things we numbered above. It addresses the problem of poison oak & ivy, and it fixes the problem with the home remedy that you were selling.

Remember, I simply used that as an example to show you how it works. Of course whenever medications of any kind are involved there are strict laws in place to enforce the sale of those items.

Now I have been really stretched thin because of work this week. I live right near the ocean in New Jersey, and I have been helping a friend during the summer beach season doing deliveries up the ocean. It’s work, but I get to see, and hear and smell the ocean everyday, and I even see a few bikini’s when I’m really lucky! 🙂  Work is over until next summer. So I will be full tilt on my websites now.

It killed me to put up this short little post. It’s right on the money, but short. Check back in a few days I will be working on something new! So remember, the Best Niches for Affiliate Marketing are usually the ones that you feel passionate about, and that writing content for comes easy to you. That said, you still want to remember the two factors we listed above that are necessary for a lucrative niche.

How Search algorithms work

With the amount of information available on the web, finding what you need would be nearly impossible without some help sorting through it. Google ranking systems are designed to do just that: sort through hundreds of billions of webpages in our Search index to find the most relevant, useful results in a fraction of a second, and present them in a way that helps you find what you’re looking for.

These ranking systems are made up of not one, but a whole series of algorithms. To give you the most useful information, Search algorithms look at many factors, including the words of your query, relevance and usability of pages, expertise of sources, and your location and settings. The weight applied to each factor varies depending on the nature of your query—for example, the freshness of the content plays a bigger role in answering queries about current news topics than it does about dictionary definitions.

To help ensure Search algorithms meet high standards of relevance and quality, we have a rigorous process that involves both live tests and thousands of trained external Search Quality Raters from around the world. These Quality Raters follow strict guidelines that define our goals for Search algorithms and are publicly available for anyone to see.
